am a Ph.D. candidate in the Science  and Technology Studies department at York University. My supervisor is Dr. Natasha Myers (committee members: Dr. Michelle Murphy & Dr. Mike Pettit)

My current research is on ‘imperceptible toxins’, particularly electromagnetic frequencies and infrasound. I am interested in the ways in which these invisible forms of potential harm are made manifest by both sufferers and scientists: How do we conceive of toxic harm outside of the paradigm of the chemical? How can we think of toxicity as ‘energetic’?

I am have done fieldwork in Ontario & Green Bank WV, where I researched the emerging illness of electrosensitivity. More broadly, my project is also concerned with the emergent illness notion of ‘sensitivity’ as a container to describe a myriad of environmental illnesses.

I am currently writing my dissertation.
